I enjoyed reading this "cougar" story--the love scenes were pretty steamy. I also liked the behind the scenes info. which made the book even more interesting. I liked reading the excerpt for Haley's story--I think that will also be fun to read.I loved the secondary characters--Stormy's (love her name) relationship with her daughters is wonderful.
Looking forward to reading Haley's story!

I actually read all Joan Reeve's books when they were print published earlier, so I am especially thrilled to find a never-before-published title from her. This is vintage Reeves with a fun and a satisfying romance. And how can you go wrong for the price?
This was my first Joan Reeves romance. It was also my first older heroine/younger hero romance. I wasn't sure how that was going to work, but from the first paragraph on, I knew I was in the hands of a master storyteller. Ms. Reeves paints vivid word pictures that bring the characters to life, and the settings become a virtual reality. I can't wait for the next book in the series. Definitely a fun read.
This is truly a feel-good book. Not too long and not too short. Just the perfect size for an evening read. Sean is wonderful and sexy and Stormy is aptly named. She is complicated and emotional and needs to feel the love and lust of a good man. The two of them together is very sweet and yet very steamy. A must read!
Stormy Clarkson is a beauty. But that beauty has been more of a burden than a gift, a burden that's led her into destructive relationships and left her feeling bad about her choices in life. Along comes mega-sexy Sean Butler who has a past of his own. A take-control guy, he has Stormy in his sights. But how does Sean convince the reluctant lady of his sincerity when her greatest fear is making another mistake?
Every book I read by Joan Reeves is better than the last. Drenched in emotion and sexuality, this is a wonderful read that makes the happy ending all the more satisfying. And just so you know, that gorgeous red dress on the cover plays a significant part in the story. You don't want to miss it!
Once again, a great read. Lots of fun and a great preamble for the following books of this series. I CAN'T WAIT! I really liked how she taught us how to make mozzarella cheese as part of one of the initial scenes. Plus, I love books where I laugh right out loud and Ms. Reeves does that for me. If you haven't read Joan Reeves yet...what are you waiting for? You'll have a great time, too!
Stormy has a troubled past, three grown daughters (who get their own stories) and a lot of personal baggage to overcome.
She has managed to get her life settled but finds it's more 'beige' than anything else. But does she really want anything else? Beige is safe. Beige, Stormy finds, is also boring. But after her history, boring isn't so bad. Or is it?
Until Sean arrives - sexy, hunky - occupying her mind night and day. Stronger and stronger and she has no choice but to let him in.
WOW! Does he come in...and nothing is ever the same.
Sexy, funny, emotional and as always an ending the reader wants.
The story is interesting but light weight. There is not much depth to the story. The book description is what you get. I like some suspense. I think the author tried to use Stormey's past to offer some suspenseful interest, but it did not work for me. Until you know her past, you don't know that it's important to this story.
Her past does turn out to be interesting and it is important to future books. While reading this book, I doubted that I'd read another book by this author. After reading the intro of the next book, I find that I would like to know what happens to her daughters.
